Welcome to Troop 1021

Welcome to Troop 1021, "The Pride of the  South Side!" We are an all-boy troop, founded in 2014, in an effort to bring Scouting to the underserved South Side of San Antonio. We pride ourself on our and our extensive outdoor/camping program and proven mentorship to boys wishing to learn leadership, civic, and outdoor skills while developing their self-esteem and self-confidence. We are part of the Alamo Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

We meet every Wednesday night from 7:30pm to 9:00pm at the Highland Park Lutheran Church Educational building (left-hand side), located at 705 Hammond Ave., in San Antonio, Texas. We camp a minimum of once monthly, enjoy classes, outings and day adventures, and attend a week-long summer camp each June or July. As our believe is "no boy should not have the opportunity to join Scouting, we are able to provide financial assistance to Scouts in need.

If your son joins our troop, he will have the opportunity to regularly participate in the following activities:

- Camping

- Cooking

- First Aid

- Wilderness Survival

- Fishing

- Canoeing/Rowing/Kayaking

- Swimming

- Rifle & Shotgun Shooting

- Public Speaking

- Community Service

- Astronomy

- Hiking

- Chess

- Juggling (free lessons)

- And many, many more!
